Product Description
TME Screw Element For Twin Screw Extruder Customized With High Quality

Product Description

The TME threaded element is a special threaded component used in twin-screw extruders to enhance the mixing efficiency. It achieves a strong mixing effect through a toothed design. Here are its key features and application scenarios:

Core Function

Mixing and Distribution: The TME element performs rapid shearing and dispersion of the materials through its toothed structure (such as sawtooth or interlaced teeth), which is particularly suitable for the uniform dispersion of low-viscosity additives (such as silicone oil).

Back Pressure Generation: The reverse-thread design creates back pressure, increasing the filling degree to 100% and enhancing the mixing uniformity.

Application Scenarios

Mixing of Low-Viscosity Additives: For example, when adding silicone oil to HDPE, the mixing effect of the TME structure is significantly better than that of the meshing block, and the mixing amount can be increased by nearly twice.

High-Fill Formula: In processes requiring complete filling (such as the exhaust section), the TME can effectively overcome the flow resistance.

Design Parameters

Toothed Structure: Commonly, it is in the form of sawtooth or interlaced teeth, which break droplets and redistribute them through high shear force.

Material Requirements: Usually, it uses imported powder alloy steel or tool steel from Europe to ensure wear resistance and torque transmission.

Comparison with Other Components

Compared with meshing blocks, the TME has higher mixing efficiency in low-viscosity systems, but it needs to be combined with reverse-thread components for high-viscosity materials.

Typical Application Cases

Polymer Blending: Used for dispersion mixing during the melting stage, followed by the distribution mixing component.

Fiber dispersion: First, use narrow-threaded interlocking blocks to disperse the fiber bundles, and then distribute them to the matrix through TME.
